Hello to all,
I am a 22 year old male and I have questions
so if you have answers feel free to email me
back. I'm in college right now and my major is
vocal performance and education <this semester
was taken off>. I want to get into recording
arts, and I am enrolled in a Recording arts
school in AZ <I'm in AL now>. My start date is
June 2003. Right now I'm thinking about
volunteering at a recording studio since I have
no prior experience with the field. Co-op from my
school is really not an option. <1>Do you feel
that a recording studio would be receptive to the
idea of having a volunteer to mentor with no
prior experience?
I love D&B music and after going to school
one of the genres I feel that I would gear to the
most is Jungle/D&B. I listen to all the guys from
the Good Looking Records crew. <2>If I wanted to
start spinning and producing jungle now, how
should I start off? <3> What drum machine would
best suit that the jungle genre?
When I go off to school, I'm going to have
student loans and financial aid. <4>Is there
anything out there such as a grant, fellowship,
scholarship for a recording arts student?
Something that would not put me into to much debt
is what I'm looking for, but if it must be then
I'll have to go that route to fulfill a dream. If
there is such a grant or so it wouldn't hurt to
have. Thank you all for reading this email.
Like I said earlier, if you have any answers feel
free to email me.
~thanks you reading~
