That's just how it came across to me when I first read your reply to GregW, but I accept you at your word here. Glad you were able to find a happy buyer within driving distance. > Anyways. I'll be honest.... it's a weird vibe and kinda of a nerdy > and stale group here at times. If the group is not meeting your needs to explore and share ideas related to the specific gear this group is focused on and you want to leave, that's fine. I have joined groups myself and then left because they didn't hold my interest. Of course, I didn't feel the need to insult the group on the way out the door . . . . . Oh, wait a sec. There was >>one<< group that was full of arrogant (ahem) _________s (mentally fill-in the derogatory name of your choice). A good number of the members spent a lot of time arguing about whether (1) controllers/synths should be used to imitate acoustic [aka real] instruments or (2) they should be used to only make sounds/music that bear absolutely no resemblance to "non-electronic" instruments or "traditional" forms of music. I tried to suggest that there was a place for both, but that idea fell on deaf ears. I went into the group's archives when one of the members said this had been going on for a long time, and sure enough, the division between the two camps was a long standing feud. It became clear to me that it would continue to be a perpetual source of bickering. But I think that's the only time I left an on-line group and told them in colorful language what I thought of what to me was a silly waste of time. (In retrospect I was probably frustrated that my peace-making efforts had no chance of ending the feud.) Come to think of it, maybe that's what I like about this group: the contributory and friendly atmosphere of respectful sharing, the lack of petty squabbles, etc. >I can't put my finger on it. (It sounds like a sale might be announced . . . . ) Steve
