Don't let the low price and abundance on ebay fool you-Pure phatt is a great and underrated rom.

I'd say it is most suitable for hip hop/urban, funk, r'n'b and maybe drum'n'bass. Sure one could use it for electronica or any other genre. The kits and bassess are probably the strongest part. Unlike POP rom it doeasn't cover typical GM pallete like piano sounds (it has some great keys though, like the clavinet preset which sounds rich and bright).

peace.

On 23 March 2011 12:01, ric weidner <kazukoric@...> wrote:

Bruno,
many of the people on this forum have tracks on soundcloud. many others are doing stuff on youtube which def a bit away from hip hop or whatever. and welcome........

--- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, Bruno <brunorc@...> wrote:
>
> Hi guys,
>
> anyone of you is using MP7 (or Phatt ROM) for a non-hiphop music with
> success?
