Hi - thanks for the info. I made an heroic attempt last week to compile the Prodatum 0.41 source for Win7. I failed. Instructions here if there are any coders about - http://prodatum.sourceforge.net/doc/build.html Life goes on - I'll stick with Proteum for now - it's more stable and I'm familiar with it's quirks at this stage :) --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "steve_the_composer" <smw-mail@...> wrote: > > As promised, I did some quick tests and was not able to duplicate the wipe out problem in Prodatum. On Prodatum 0.38, a crash was triggered once followed by 3 succesful tests. On Prodatum 0.41, I was able to select each of the channels 3 times with no crash. > > Steve > > > > --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "steve_the_composer" <smw-mail@> wrote: > > > > I don't use the editors very much, but over the past few days I have been using them a little. I did not had problems with Proteum. In fact, I don't recall any having problems with it over the years--other than when I was doing some testing of new features being worked on a few years ago. > > > > I also used Prodatum yesterday without it crashing. I believe it may still have a very nasty design problem when it boots--wiping out the last state settings that were in effect at power down. (Under OS2.0 The CS/P2500 saves some last state info and restores it upon power up.) I will run some tests shortly to see if this still happens. > > > > Steve > > >
