As promised, I did some quick tests and was not able to duplicate the wipe out problem in Prodatum. So I went back and found the write-up on this issue. http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/xl7/message/20136 I am not sure I will be able to duplicate these tests this weekend on the latest version of Prodatum. However, I did notice yesterday and today that after changing the virtual Master Volume knob, sound stops on my P2500 until such time that I change the Master Volume by hand. I am not sure what';s going on there, or if it is unique to my setup. Finally, I did test channel switching (selecting each of the channels) to see if that would trigger a crash. On Prodatum 0.38, a crash was triggered once followed by 3 succesful tests. On Prodatum 0.41, I was able to select each of the channels 3 times with no crash. I did not had problems with Proteum. In fact, I don't recall any having problems with it over the years--other than when I was doing some testing of new features being worked on a few years ago. > > I also used Prodatum yesterday without it crashing. I believe it may still have a very nasty design problem when it boots--wiping out the last state settings that were in effect at power down. (Under OS2.0 The CS/P2500 saves some last state info and restores it upon power up.) I will run some tests shortly to see if this still happens. > > Steve >
