Me, personally, I am constantly doing a reinitialize for the CS. I would get in the habit of backing up your stuff as much as possible. Because I think resetting the unit is something that one has to get to used to. I would not rely on this unit as your sole sequencer. There is no removable data storage on the unit, unfortunately, unlike other sequencers out there. So it's a crap shoot all the time for the data to stay clean as it's always gonna stay on board internally.
Anyone want to sell me a Studio 440 they're not using??

Is it normal when I load up a song for it to have different mute settings than when i saved it? Also, after the first pattern in the song passes, is it normal for all 16 tracks to unmute where none had been before and the original pattern only uses a couple tracks? Then when you delete just the 'unmute 1st channel' event it goes back to normal?
Finally, is it normal for there to be a bunch of random track mutes recorded in song mode that i didn't even press? I sound sarcastic but these are very real problems with song mode in my xl-7.
