rechannelizing input

2010-12-29 by Atom Smasher

i think i know the answer to this, but hope i'm overlooking something... i
like the convenience of leaving "rechannelize input" turned on, but it
seems that this would make it impossible to recognize CCs on multiple
channels at the same time. eg, if i have a PC1600x (or similar "knob box")
sending out CCs to different channels, intended to affect different
presets on different channels, all of the CCs would be rechannelized to
the basic channel... unless i turn off "rechannelize input".

so the question is: is there a way to have CCs recognized on multiple
channels while "rechannelize input" is enabled?

i suspect that i'll have to create multi-setups with rechannelize either
on or off, and load them as needed. or just disable "rechannelize input"
and change channels on my controller keyboard, instead of relying on the
xl7's basic channel.

any other ideas?

btw... pg 163 & 338 show block diagrams related to rechannelizing input. i
think those diagrams incorrectly show that rechannelizing the input
doesn't affect what's received by the sequencer.
