Some people seems to have problems with the on/off button since they 
accidently press it when play live. I know what it feels like, I've 
done it a couple of times.

Here is the solution: The Waldorf Synthesizers also has the same sort 
of countdown - a very fast 10 seconds (probably 2 emu seconds that 
is), but you need to hold down the button instead of just pressing 
it. If you release the button before the countdown has reached zero, 
the synth won't turn off.

This is good for two reasons:

1: Time do not have to be 5 seconds, only 2 is enough. (You can turn 
off it faster)
2: You never accidently turn the xx-7 off if you need to hold down 
the button to turn it off.
