It looks like someone has created a forum using the name CTRLR focused on midi hardware/software. It looks like it is still in development. The "About" page had nothing in it when I took a look earlier today. There is some info in the "News" section which seems to indicate that the person doing this site has made some earlier attempts and is still working out the bugs. It also seems that the News was geared towards people who already knew about the previous efforts rather than new people. My own personal preference is to participate in sites which address specific gear, software, and musical genres I am interested in. If the new site develops a targeted focus on the large issues related to controllers, I might be interested somewhere down the road. If its going to be fragmented (various controller issues related to all the various gear and software that's out there), there will probably be much more that I am not interested in at the site. Unfortunately, the site is not terribly focused at the moment, and I am not sure I have the time to help the developer create something that doesn't duplicate what's already available. Thanks for calling this site to our attention. If you will be a participant over there, you might want to refer E-Mu users to the various Yahooo groups dedicated to E-Mu hardware. Steve PS: Since the site seems to be linked to source forge and track, perhaps the developer has a vision of building an open-source software community to work on software which integrates all software and hardware that uses midi. To me, this might be a very worthwhile thing to have. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, Matt <somatt@...> wrote: > > what is it? > > On Sun, Oct 10, 2010 at 2:29 AM, nicoliukko <nicoliukko@...> wrote: > > > > > > > if you show your support in this thread > > > > http://ctrlr.org/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=259&p=1454#p1454 > > > > it will happen :) > > > > edit: the forum have had some errors the past days, but keep on trying > > > > > > >
