I have done quite a bit with sysex and the P2500. Basically the knobs do not send CC. You can do stuff with sysex in remote control mode, but that is really using sysex to control the e-mu remotely. If you go into remote control mode (see sysex manual), you can view what sysex knobs and buttons send by using e-loader's midi monitor (or any other mini monitor). I know I have done some charts correlating sysex but I am not sure if its posted here or in the P2K group. I don't have my sysex manual out, but I suggest you read the section on remote control. BTW, not all of what can be done via remote control sysex is documented in the manual. Read through the archives, too. A few of us have discussed it over the years. Also, although the CS will not record/edit sysex, you can embed sysex commands in patterns by uploading a *.mid file with e-loader. I wrote extensively about it, but I may have removed the posts/files in order to reorganize it--which I never did. --Steve --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, James Ulibarri <jamesulibarri@...> wrote: > > Has anyone tried throwing any sysex messages from the Command Stations > control knobs? > I am interested in controlling a Yamaha TX-7 or Akai S5000.
