Re: [xl7] Tested good roms and using additional sounds

Hey Matt, First I want to say, I do apologize again. I was just wanting to give you a heads up if you would like to have a shell for the World ROM. I see someone on Ebay has a few shells with no ROMs and looks like the Planet Earth is $50. right now. here's the link if you need it. http://cgi.ebay.com/E-MU-E-MU-EMU-Planet-Earth-Midi-Sound-Module-No-Rom-/170534402448?pt=Keyboards_MIDI&hash=item27b4a47990
Even though some people don't like to have a bunch of items to hook up you have to buy more cables and have a bigger Mixing Board, etc, the way you are doing it with the PX-7 is great. By the way I was just kidding about buying up all the ROMs on EPR. I don't really need anymore. Like you said I am a bit redundant. But there is a good reason I swear, I have a few people hooked up with their own setups. All in all thank you again for letting us know about the EPR website, it is a great place to get parts and things. Good luck in all you do. SincerelyTOMTEL

Today I received world expedition from Jerome in Canada. I was able to test it and the other roms I purchased from EPR and the stock px-7 rom. I powered up the command center into test mode by booting up with the arrow keys pressed, then selected rom test. I then tested the roms one by one. All passed and work great! I really like the awesome Ethnic drum sounds in world expedition.

Also I hooked up the command station to my pc running reason and was able to successfully use the pc as a sound module. This gives me tons more patches and multitimbrality.

I want to thank everyone on the list for the super helpful advice!
Thanks again,

Matt
