RE: [xl7] Recent animosity + leaving the list

2010-08-28 by Beowolf

Hi,

I am a long time member of this group (and many other groups), and I truly
haven't seen this behavior in any other group. Most members go out of their
way to be helpful and some are absolute experts about the instruments and
electronics in general.

Bottom line is although all these fine samples and features are available to
us, we should try to help each other in the understanding of the instrument
and the sharing of ideas so we can move past the boundaries of our day to
day existence with the gift of music.

I hope all can contribute without the name calling and autocracy that has
recently arisen.

Thanks

Bruce

I would agree to several things:

(1) the apparent animosity is a bit much.
(2) while referring to "ladies" and "sissy-fight" might be humorous to some,
it is kind of fanning the flames.

Question for TOMTEL: Was your request to be removed from the list made in
haste? (If you really want to be removed, you can either do it yourself or
just simply let us know you have thought it over and really do want to be
removed.)

Personally, I enjoy making my own presets (as well as customizing factory
presets), however, the E-Mu factory presets are quite good and if someone
makes music using just those they should not be made to feel unwanted here.

me?, I couldn't be more disgusted with this group at this point and just
asked to be removed from it. I haven't spoken much over the years since I
have been a member, and then some punk can come in and run it like it was
his group. Thanks so much Alan for your support. No need to keep replying, I
am throwing these emails in the trash.
