Then I start my mpc track and lauch the mp7 track and record mp7's tracks with the keyboard. At the end I re-plug my mpc to re-send midi clock and to adjust few notes and record all in protools.
I think someone has a better way to do this, so please let me know!<<
let me see if I've got this clear- you are using both the MPC & the keyboard to enter data into the MP7.
which MPC is it? does it have a merge function?
ideally you want to leave the MPC hooked up to the MP7 to clock it while you add your keyboard parts. to do this, you need to merge them. if it's possible, plug the keyboard into the MPC & have it appear at the MPC's output along with the clock. otherwise, get an external midi-merge box.
