another hack. one of the filters has a bad peak in volume at the middle of
the cutoff freq, making filter sweeps not so smooth. i could put a
limiter/compressor on it... or i could fix it with cords...
1) Diode -> AmpVol +100
2) DC -> Diode -50
3) MidiA -> Diode +100
4) MidiA -> AmpVol -10
5) MidiA -> FiltFreq +100
#1 adjust as needed
#2 determines at what point the volume increases
#3 determines the rate that volume increases, after overcoming the offset
of #2 and accounting for the decrease of #4; in my case this increases the
volume as #5 is turned from 50-100%
#4 controls the initial rate of volume decrease; in my case it
compensates for the unwanted increase in volume that would otherwise occur
as #5 is increased between 0-50%
#5 is the filter cutoff; without the other cords it was giving a peak in
volume as it passed through the middle of the range.
this can be modified to make something happen more, or happen less, as a
knob or other controller (env? LFO?) passes the halfway point between
0-100. of course the halfway point is adjustable, and the controller can
be doing something else at the same time.
enjoy...
i'm starting to like this synth ;)
