Aaron, you are awesome! I'm going to try this out first thing in the morning... Well, later this morning ;) Aloha, -Nate Brevis esse laboro, obscuris fio. www.myspace.com/pulkrabek http://pulkrabek.tumblr.com/ On Apr 20, 2010, at 11:03 PM, Aaron Eppolito <synthesis77@...> wrote: Resending (since my later messages showed up, but not this one - thanks yahoo.) 1) You need to tell Logic to "Auto demix by channel if multitrack recording" (weirdest name for "respect MIDI channels"). There's a tutorial here: http://www.logicprohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=32201 2) Slave Logic to MIDI Clock (the clock button in the transport? I think) and tell the XL-7 to transmit MIDI clock. 3) Not sure what you mean, but there's a "transmit arps" feature on the XL-7. Note that for all of this, all of your tracks on the XL-7 will need to be set to "Both" (or ext if you don't want the internal synth) as a destination, otherwise, they'll only go to the internal synth. That said, the MUCH more accurate and reliable way to transfer tracks is via E-loader. You'll probably have to run parallels or something though. -Aaron ----- Original Message ---- From: frendn8 <frendn8@...> To: xl7@yahoogroups.com Sent: Fri, April 16, 2010 5:03:51 PM Subject: [xl7] Using PX-7 as a MULTI TRACK sequencer in Logic Pro 8 Aloha! I was wondering if anyone would be so gracious as to give me a step by step on how to get my PX-7 set up to record multiple tracks in Logic Pro 8. I want to know how to... 1) Get each track on the PX-7 to play a separate track in logic, 2) Get the PX-7 to tell logic to start the recording, 3) Get the arps to trigger all the notes in the designated series (if that doesn't happen automatically)... It may sound like a noob question, but I was just hoping for a quick step by step from an experienced user. Aloha, -Nate ------------------------------------ Yahoo! Groups Links
