Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

1) The box cannot accurately sync to external MIDI clock. It reports the 
wrong tempo coming from the
external device (either an Electribe or RM1X in my case) and won't start 
or stay in sync. Gets way out
when I change patterns while "locked" to ext. MIDI sync.

>>>Ditto.  I thought it was my Red Sound Micro Sync causing the problems, 
but extensive trial and error with other gear acting as the master 
(Cubase, K2600XS, ER-1, etc) confirm that it's the XL-7 that has trouble 
syncing up and staying that way.  I still haven't had any problems 
switching patterns though.  Unfortunately this makes the box less than 
idealwhen used a slave live, which is mainly why I got it.  It'll be a 
studio only tool for awhile until this gets sorted. :( <<<<
