Actually there IS a way to this with the XX-7s. What you do is, use the arps and latched triggers. User arp patterns can be any length you like, you can even edit them while they are playing for some Genoqs type action. Make your arp patterns, assign them to presets on the relevant channels and set up latched triggers (in the Controllers section) to start / stop them. It's actually one of the first things mentioned in the manual IIRC. One limitation here I suppose is that arp patterns are monophonic but you could get around this with multiple channels if you had to. --- On Sun, 7/3/10, massimo <massenmedium@...> wrote: > From: massimo <massenmedium@yahoo.co.uk> > Subject: Re: [xl7] Re: Track loop points? > To: xl7@yahoogroups.com > Date: Sunday, 7 March, 2010, 10:55 > It's probably a bit of a dirty word > around here but there's a certain Yamaha sampler / sequencer > that I believe can do this, although even there it can be > fiddly to set up. > > --- On Sun, 7/3/10, bobsvitilla <bobsvitilla@...> > wrote: > > > From: bobsvitilla <bobsvitilla@...> > > Subject: [xl7] Re: Track loop points? > > To: xl7@yahoogroups.com > > Date: Sunday, 7 March, 2010, 8:16 > > Yeah, the genoqs' machines and the > > likes are way out of my range.
