Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi all, New to the board and considering ordering an XL-7 very soon, 
could anyone answer this simple question though...What methods can I 
use to load audio samples of my creation into the unit, is there a PC 
link or do I need an E-mu sampler to burn ROM's for it? Also is $1250 
US Dollars a fair price? If not, what retailer has a better one,
