Re: [xl7] prodatum classic beta now

2009-07-11 by Fred Smith

Hi there Jan, well..well.... what can I say..from here in New Zealand....except brilliant...yeeha. ;-) c o o L !!

That is just fantastic, hooked Prodatum up to the Command Station and away I went, havn't stopped playing with it for like three days, it's given the Command Station the kick-in-the-pants it needed, I can be so productive now....I'm getting all sorts of exciting sounds out of the yellow box. I have even been doing happy happycore tunes at 170 to 180 bpm...hehe.

I really impressed with the keyboard, layering and xfade...that's something that's been too hard for me via the machine's green screen, I can see all sorts of possibilities now. Just love the mouse wheel data interface A++ for values, really neat.

So yeah it's run really great, I sorta forgot about the testing role and have been full-on using, so I guess you can take that as very positive. It's only crashed once in many hours of use, but I blame the happy hardcore for that.

Just wanted to let you know and that I'm still very interested in your work.

Great job!!

Yeeha
Steve

greetings,

prodatum classic (http://prodatum. sf.net/) is now beta. it works with
p1k and p2k modules as well as with command stations (finally!) on
mac, windows and linux. you should definitely check it out if you
haven't already.

features:
* all editing is done in the edit buffer (nothing is being changed
until you choose to save)
* mixer-like main-view for the most important voice settings
* realtime controllers and FX settings also in the main-view
* right-click any parameter to return to the initial preset value
* undo/redo
* arpeggiator pattern editor with beat:ticks length calculation
* voice muting/soloing
* sysex/midi-event log

the virtual keyboard features:
* modwheel, pitchwheel and footswitches
* easy layering of voices
* easy creation of split keyboard setups

..and much more.

cheers,
JanE
