XL7 main-out's going dead???

I'm having an issue with my Emu-XL7's Main Audio outputs, Including the headphone jack. 

It seems that now- to get any sound at all out of this Kit, I need to crank the volume knob to Full-Maximum, for any sound. Remind you- It was not like this when i bought it. 

any advice on this, would be much appreciated. :D
