The problems we have seen when quitting the application are independent of the way the application works while it is running. In other words, the application seems to work fine _until_ you try to exit, at which time it can sometimes hang. If you can't get the 'Show Available MIDI Devices' window to display your XL-7, then you definitely have some kind of problem (but you knew that already ;-) Once we get your device to show up in this window, the OS Download can then work. What would help me troubleshoot this is if you could run the application, open the Message Console (found in the Window menu) and save the contents of that window to a file (using Save in the File menu). Then send me that log.txt file (***off list***). I may be able to see something in that log that is the clue to your problems. Scott
