Re: master effects vs. preset effect

2009-04-14 by steve_the_composer

The best solution I have seen is (1) to designate an FX control channel and (2) to create FX presets. This has been desribed and discussed several times.

In a nutshell:
(1) set FX MULTIMODE CONTROL to something like preset on channel 16B.
(2) create a preset with 0000: none for ROM INSTRUMENTS on all 4 layers, and your FX buses and parameters the way you want. (I name these !FX: so the preset navigator finds them first.

If I go into the global setting and enable the effects, the preset edit menu says,"master effects in use." I don't want to use the master effects because it changes all my patterns, but I do want to utilize the effects for my presets. How do I do this?
