I am using e-loader 1.1. Not sure if that makes a difference. However, after testing file tranfers I am confounded. I had all kinds of problems (failures) whe the sysex device ID was anything but 000. Also, I somehow transfered some files onto the computer without the mid file type attached. This is a mystery!! --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "dwn4tupac" <dwn4tupac@...> wrote: > > It's probably not the file. > I've had this problem but only when trying to copy FROM the xl7 TO the computer...not the other way around. > I"m using xp sp2 > w/ eloader 1.0 (i think) > > --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "steve_the_composer" <smw-mail@> wrote: > > > > I wonder if there's something in the file or perhaps the file header causing the error (or the file type). If you have one of those files that produces the error consistently, I'd be willing to try it on my system (preferably a small file) and take a look at it. --Steve > > > > --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "dc" <carrda@> wrote: > > > > > > Hey Guys, > > > > > > I'm a newbie at this, but I have gotten that error when trying with some midi files. Mostly when I was trying to upload XG midi files that I had saved from a Yamaha RS7000 that I previously owned. And sometimes with midi files that I have downloaded off the net. Maybe there is something there. > > > > > > Dave > > >
