Re: MP-7 live pa help

Right on Steve,

Yeah, I just didn't find much in the manual about program change in the manual. Took me a minute to figure out the m and the l, since all my gear is uses different bank configurations, but yeah, figured that out and now I'm rolling smoothly between patterns with no worries. Been using it to change back and forth between presets in the middle of sequences, fun stuff.

I have figured out how to control external gear, and assign controller and triggers. Fun stuff too. I've found that the MP-7 doesn't record the controllers when its in Program mode, but it does record everything when in Quick edit mode. Am I wrong and just miss a setting?

Is it possible to assign knobs in Quick edit mode to external gear on a different midi channel than I am currently on?

On the subject of Arps, how about controlling arp parameters with controllers? I think I remember reading something about it, but didn't dive into it completely. What are some good arp controller combos to use?

I really would like to know more about mixing patterns and XMIX. I've been toying around with it, but I'd like to know how a more seasoned performer would implement it, if at all.

Which brings me to...
How do most people use the MP-7 in a live PA setting? Song mode, pattern to pattern, XMIX? There seems to be a few options... with some flexibility...

Sorry for all the questions, I just don't know anyone else who uses the XX-7, and this seems to be the best source on the net for answers.

Thanks again Steve!
