why buing an XX-7 then? The soundmoduls can be expanded, have the 
same sounds and are a lot cheaper...?
I wanted to get away from the computer and bought the MP-7 for that. 
I demoed it against the RS 7000 - the latter a very easy to use box 
with a different approach to composing music. I experienced no 
glitches, found it very reliablke, also liked the efx, the sampling 
possibilities are awsome but I couldn“t live with the sounds. I 
missed the basic crunchy and punchy sound ylu cannot achieve by 
sampling in my opinion. This is where the xx-7 rock, and the solid 
hardware feel sure enough. Other than that I think the yammie is a 
serious alternative, depends on your likes as usal...
