Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I'd probably hazard a guess that it's the power supply too.  Other (free) things to look for would be loose cables, bad contacts, etc.  On the bright side, the power supply is a complete standalone unit that is pretty plug 'n' play if you can find the right unit.  I think someone on the list was able to find a source for them.  I believe the manufacturer was PowDec if I recall correctly, so I think that's where they found it.

Hi peeps,

Need some help on an issue reguarding turning on and using x17.
Basically after about 2 years of having this piece of kit, i've found
it has become unstable, when i turn it on i get all the lights
flickering for a few seconds very strangely, sometimes constantly,
before eventually it loads? Then i find that its starting to crash,
after about 10-mins to 30-mins , i hoping someone can tell me what the
problem is or could be, im guessing it could be a power supply
problem, but any info or advice would be great before i attempt to
have repaired(if its bad news, then its not gonna be worth it, cost
wise)??
