Greetings: Don't know if you checked this or not, but the EMu mainboard ROM module connectors are notorious for causing wierd little problems like that. I'm not sure if it's an issue of cold solder joints or of the pins actually breaking in place and although they look OK, they don't make connection. I had a module that had to have the ROM socket replaced - after that, perfect! It would be a shame to part it out if that is all that's wrong, so you might check into it just one more time ;-) ...
