Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

hi all. I'm new to this group, so howdy!

The jog wheel on my XL-7 jumps erratically when i try change a value
quickly, in that it can jump from Preset 006 to 052 in a flash for
example. Just wondering if anyone can tell me the cause and if there
is a fix? I can't imagine why EMU did not offer a direct value entry
method (using 10 of the track /trigger buttons for instance). Also,
increment /decrement buttons would have been nice, but i guess there's
always something that would be nice..

This is all rather new to me so it has been an interesting process
(learning how to drive a command station). Will say that the V2
updates seem pretty much essential. Would have found it frustrating
trying to get quick results with previous version OS.

Overall, even though it feels kinda 'antiquated' compared to a DAW for
sequencing, it somehow actually works really well for this style of
comping. And that's without fully figuring it out so yeah, i think
it's gonna be a cool tool (even with a jumpy jogger).
