Glad to hear some of your frustration was resolved with the multiseup solution. I am not sure I understand what you are doing entirely, but if your E-Mu is a slave and all the note data is coming from an external sequencer, you need to have some sort of data (such as controller data setting the volume to 127) on the E-Mu tracks to preserve the settings. Otherwise, if the OS sees a track with no controller or note data, it will not save your preset settings. If I understand what you are trying to do, take a look at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/xl7/message/19586 This was part of a discussion about why channel assignments to external gear kept getting reset to internal when patterns were saved. You need some "dummy" data on the tracks to prevent the OS from thinking its an empty track. Again, I am not sure I understand what have been trying to do, but I hope this helps you to get the most out of your gear. --Steve
