I don't ever use that button. In fact, I pulled mine out. I use the switch on the back. That said, it's possible that the switch doesn't work within that screen? Nope, mine does (if I push my fingertip into the hole). Dunno. I'd seriously doubt resetting the software'd fix it. Push harder?
