Make sure you're left and right locators are around the section you want to export as a MIDI file. OR select it as well in the Arrange page first. Let me know if you still need help, I use Cubase 5.1 and the XL-7 together all the time.

I loaded a 1-track-sequence from cubase to my mp-7. Everything worked
well, E-loadser transferred the file (around 5 k), I saw the midi in
(mp-7) flashing, the new pattern arrived, track 1 was lit as its
supposed to do, pattern length was 14 bars, all correct. But: No
sound, when I´m playing it from my mp-7. I checked: No event or note
in track 1 (despite its lit). I tried everything, different settings
(midi rechannelise, saving pattern again and so on), it doesn´t work.
What Am I doing wrong?
Any ideas are very welcome.
