yes

I told you already that I get to this point and click save and another
box pops up telling me that it can't save the midi file to disk...no
explanation is given.

My patterns are all listed in the eloader librarian. I have no
problems putting midi files on to the xl7.  Just taking them off
doesn't work.

It says the name of pattern 1 in bank 0 (currently underworld-born slippy

Only possibly the xl-7 itself.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
