Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi,
  I just bought the MP-7 & was wondering if there's any way to do 
pattern changes &/or mutes from an external MIDI device (foot 
controler) to change during live performance?   Couldn't seem to find 
the SysEx specs mentioned in the manual anywhere on the website.
