Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi all,
I just purchased an EM-U XL-7 mainly to be used as a midi player for my 
band.  I am trying right now to send the XL-7 program change messages 
to load a sequence, but it doesn't seem to be responding to any program 
change messages.

How do I go about loading a sequence with an external midi foot 
controller?
