When you go into DIAGNOSTICS mode (by booting up and holding both 
cursor keys at the same time), function 16 will wipe out (1) the user 
presets and (2) all sequences/patterns. The presets will be replaced 
with a copy of the ROM presets. However, all sequences will be gone. 
Factory installed sequences need to be uploaded using the E-Loader 
utility and a PC.

Function 17 will just initialize the presets, but will leave the 
seqeunces intact.

Function 18 will take you out of diagnoztic mode with a reboot. 

Suggestion (if you haven't done this already):
1. Press Global.
2. Select RESTORE MULTISETUP.
3. Choose 063 Factory Setup.
4. Press ENTER.

This less invasive procedure might get rid of undesirable settings if 
you are not ready to wipe out the previous owner's presets and 
sequences.
