i've just won the puppy on ebay, so joined up to get the mac software & 
stuff. i'll probably be lurking for a while as i get used to the 
machine's functions (i had an xl7 for a while which was pretty easy to 
understand) but no doubt will ask some damned stupid questions!!

it'll be used mostly as a drum machine, and midi drum trigger for my 
other rack drum machines (roland r8m*2, alesis dm pro, kawai xd5, 
emulators, yamaha rm50 etc) but am interested in using it live to run 
backing tracks for a semi-industrial / darkwave band...

right, i'm off to have a celebratory beer. anyone else want one?
