Contest?

Hey all, who's up for a contest? ;I was thinking we could have a pattern writing contest, just to sort of see what everyone is doing with the Command Stations. If we keep it to patterns we might get more entries than if we said it was only for complete songs (although if everyone would rather do that, fine by me). Anyway, we do stuff like this on the 505 list all the time, and it's an excellent way to hear new stuff, and learn new techniques. It's easy to do too, since the Pattern files would be so small for downloading and what not. I could put a folder up in the files section, and you could just upload there when you're finished. Once we hit our deadline for contest submissions, we set up a Yahoo Groups poll and everyone votes for their favorite patterns. Also, we usually use the honor system that you won't vote for your own pattern.
Of course there's no real prizes as such, but Emu has a section up their site for Patterns, maybe we could get them to post the top three winners there as an incentive?
So, what does everyone think? If we're all game, I'll draft up some quick (simple) rules/guidelines and we can start asap!
