Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hello ;  I just bought the XL7 and I upgrade for the new o.s 1.18
..but when I downloaded the manual addendum for this new o.s ; I just
got the p.d.f file for the 1.17 addendum(which was the one the machine
had before )so... what   improvements does the 1.18 bring compared to
the 1.17  ??  2nd question :  after that download I played quiet a lot
with the XL and since then , the midi out led is always blinking !
It's been 3 days now I power it on and off ,with nothing connected to
the midi ports but it's still blinking all the time , can somebody
help....??
P.S : I love this machine anyway !!
