Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

It's not really practical to send LFO or envelope information over
MIDI, since the update rate would have to be pretty high, which would
clog the MIDI bandwidth (similar to sending lots of aftertouch).

What WOULD be cool is the ability to route LFOs, envelopes, tracking
generators, etc, to internal sequencer tracks, so you could modulate
velocity, pitch, duration, and timing. Self-modulation is one of the
cooler things that analog sequencers can do that I'd like to see
incorporated into digital pattern-based MIDI sequencers.
