- Press the MIDI button - Scroll to "RECHANNELIZE INPUT To Track Destination" - Change to "Always" This will allow you to play whatever instrument is assigned to the track in the display using your controller. You can also record notes onto that track, then switch to a different one - this will let you play/record a different instrument while your recorded track plays. If you want to actually play both your MIDI keyboard and the XL7 pads at the *same time* with a different instrument on each, set RECHANNELIZE INPUT to OFF. Then, the pads on the XL7 will play whatever is in the display. You can then change the MIDI channel on your MIDI keyboard to play instruments on other tracks. (The Track # is *normally* the same as the MIDI Channel # - Setting your controller to Channel 6 will play whatever instrument is assigned to Track 6) HTH DTK --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "atip_akira" <tyronreid@...> wrote: > > HEY guys, well i got a midi keybaord and im kinda gettin a bit lost, > theres no mention about assigning channels in the manual for the > keybaord, but i was hoping you lot could help me, i need 2 set ups, > one so that what ever is track is on tyhe display on the xl7 it plays > when i use keyboard and 2 i would like the midi keyboard to be drums > or anything and the xl7 to be like a bass or bells or something, in > other words play 2 different tracks using the xl7 and the keybaord, iv > tried folling the xl7 manual but like i said, i dont get it :< > really hope u can help me! > xtyx > > --- In emu_command@yahoogroups.com, "atip_akira" <tyronreid@> wrote: > > > > Hey sorry to bring this up but i need to ask a question.
