-The rubber over the pads collects scum and pet hair. And the pads leave a lot to be desired in terms of dynamics and percussivity. The best ones I've ever witnessed were those on the ASR-X. >>>Yeah they do collect hair don't they? I use a smal car detailing brush for everything inmy studio, it works great for dusting mixers and synths, as well as the pads on the XX-7. You can find them at most autoparts stores for only $2 or so. Yes, I think the pads do get better after you use them for a bit (or I just got use to them). I didn't like them either at first, but now I prefer them over keys. Too bad no one makes a 61 pad XL-7 :) <<< -And: How about the ability to simply mute the 32 channels in each track - set up like the track mix screen? This would give the XX-7 a nice mc-505-feature. What do you think? >>>What do you mean by 505-feature? I'm pretty familair with them, but don't recall what feature you'er talking about? <<< rEalm
