Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I saw this question posted before with no answer.
I seem to be having the same problem now.  When I set
a track to play to external (as opposed to internal or
both)it still will play back the internal sound anyway.
So far most of the things I have thought were bugs have
only been my stupidity and this is probably the same.
The more I use the XL, the more I realize how powerful it is.
Still getting over the learning curve I guess.  Another
gripe I have besides the limited efx sends routings, is the
limited amount of note resolutions in step entry (i.e. no tied
notes, half or whole notes etc.)  Since I'm more into mixing
and arranging than sequencing live, I rely on step and grid
entry a lot.  Just want it all and want it now.
