No, it does not. Mine works fine for that (after I reinstalled the 
microsoft java). Except: Sometimes it started the download, but 
stopped as soon as it started (you should see the filesize on your 
computerscreen being downloaded and a bar that is visualising the 
process, takes some seconds for - say - 10 kb.) I had to restart the 
download and all went well.

Whats happening exactly when you try that?
