Re: [xl7] arp behaviour

2006-08-13 by Aaron Eppolito

What's happening is what I'd expect, though not what you want.

The first time you play the arp, it latches on (since you have it in latch mode). Then, it stops because you have a short duration (1/2d). However, the arp is still latched on (though silent). The next time you play the arp, you're unlatching it, not playing it again. The short glided stuff you hear is the notes play through.

Either turn latch off, or play the arp twice to unlatch it and relatch it.

I think you got it wrong.
I WANT the Latch function to be ON. I want to hit the keys,
let the arp do it's own thing then stop, this way allowing me to tweak
other parameters. I have only two hands and I don't want one hand
be occupied by holding the notes.

Problem is each even play attempt where no arpeggiating occurs
but only this short glided sound. Odd play attempts are OK and sound
as they should.

I'm still curious what is the problem ...
Maybe a bug ?

Hello, i suppose your arp stop because you select only 1/2d of duration. So
despite the fact that the latch mode is activitated the arp will play only
this time. Check the recycle command on the "on" position so your arp will
play the 1/2d mesure and recycle every 1/2d mesure.

  Hope that help.

          Hello,

I have an XL7 v2.0.
Using the arp I don't understand something:

Arp settings:
Status on
Mode up
Note value 1/16
Gate 2 %
Extension count 1
Extension interval 12
Sync quantized
Pre-delay off
Duration 1/2 d
Post-delay off
Recycle off
Latch on

It would be very comfortable to me to have this arp sound latched
while I'm adjusting other parameters during a live act. However,
each odd play attempt is OK, arp plays and stops where it should then
each even play attempt is only a short (like glided) sound.
What I'm playing is a typical 3-note chord, nothing special.

What am I missing here ?

Thanks,

Zsolt
