I don't generally do step recording, but I just tested it to record CCs [via knobs] and it works just fine. In step mode, when you twist knob(s) and then press play, that CC(s) get recorded at the time displayed before you press play. To verify that CCs were recorded, look for them in the EVENT editor. No need to exit step record mode to use the EVENT editor. BTW, to test, put your 1st CCs at 001.01.001 [not 001.01.000]. Here's the steps I used: 1. In pattern view mode select an Empty Sequence. 2. Press Record 3x for step record mode. 3a. Set desired Res[olution] and Gate, if inserting notes. 3b. Set desired time for CC [knob settings] insertion. 4. Tweak knobs [ccs]. 5.
