Yeah, but it would be much more work. I would have switch to pattern mode, copy the pattern to another location, and then erase all the notes after the cut off point on every track. Instead, in song mode, I can step to the end of the song; and while in realtime record, mute all the tracks when the time/beat comes. Then I can go into the song event edit mode, and place them exactly where I want them with click point precision. I'm fixing to look up that post you where talking about. I gotta figure out how to find it real quick.
