I don't think I can either.  I was going to copy a pattern to cut 
off the ends at diffrent beats.  Then I realized it'd be easier to 
insert the mutes in song mode where I want them.

It sounds better and it takes the end of the song somewhere.  If I 
just repeated the same bar 4 times and abruptly ended it, it sounds 
repeatative and cheap.

Yeah, but it would be much more work. I would have switch to pattern 
mode, copy the pattern to another location, and then erase all the 
notes after the cut off point on every track. Instead, in song mode, 
I can step to the end of the song; and while in realtime record, 
mute all the tracks when the time/beat comes.  Then I can go into 
the song event edit mode, and place them exactly where I want them 
with click point precision.  

I'm fixing to look up that post you where talking about.  I gotta 
figure out how to find it real quick.
