Again, the original intent of Audition Mode, which exists on all of the other E-mu modules, was for a quick way to just test out the preset. This is especially useful on the music store floor when you are wanting to listen to the potential of the box. Of course they are useful for other reasons too... Auditions Riffs are stored with each of the available sound sets in ROM. In order to edit them you would have to move it to RAM, and then there would need to be a sequence editor. The other modules don't have the RAM to do that, and they don't have a sequence editor. That is one reason we developed the **-7 boxes - to take Auditions (and Beats) to the next logical step. In XL/MP-7 there are over a hundred sequences that come with the box that you can edit. That seems like a good starting point for *inspiration* to <presumably> then write your own sequences :-) It might be a nice thing if there were a built in way to copy Auditions to a RAM pattern location. But again, there is already a round-about way to do it like I said, by sending them to an external sequencer and record back in. Another option would be for E-mu to post all the Riffs at the website. Or some other industrious user out there might be willing to do that while we work on other things... :-) Scott
