Hi, why don't you download midiox at midiox.com, it's more easy to send sysex data. Perhaps it won't work properly because of the fact that you haven't a by directionnal midi connection. After , if you 've got bad preset it possible it's due to that. Have you try to do this with the usb connection i don't know if it work ( the usb of the xl7 i know it's work for pattern transfert and in this case you have the bydirectionnal midi ). After for the bad preset mentionned with the layer four you just have to change the range of the keyboard ( C-2 to B-1 ) and transpose this layer to a valor of + 36 semitones. After you will play normaly theses presets and can ear the rythmic layer playing the riffs of the techno synth ).
