Note that E-Loader is no different than any other Application as far as accessing MIDI. This is all standard configuration stuff for MIDI on the Mac. Since it seems that have never used OMS before, I'm going to assume you haven't configured it yet. Even though OMS is installed, you still need to set it up to configure it to see your MIDI interface and to install 'Devices'. You need to run the OMS Setup Application to do this. When first launched OMS Setup will ask you to do an automatic setup first to create a 'setup document'. It will ask you if it should search on your Modem and Printer ports for a MIDI interface. Since you have an iBook you don't have a Modem or Printer port, so select neither and press OK. It will realize that you have a USB interface and that will show up as a port icon. You then need to add a New Device and connect it to your MIDI Sport interface Icon. This represents the XL-7. Since XL-7 won't show up in the available popup lists (it was developed long after OMS was developed) it doesn't really matter what you pick. Selecting from the list is just a shortcut for configuration you can do manually. Add a generic device and call it whatever you want. Then connect it to the MIDISport Port icon by dragging and dropping the Device Icon onto the MIDI Sport Icon. It will then probably default to 'cable 1' of the MIDI sport, which is MIDISport A. That device should now show up in E-Loader's choices of Input and Output ports. Select it and try again. Let me know what happens. Scott
