Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi,
I'm lurking here for a few weeks now. I have a brand new XL-7 found in
a corner far-far away in a shop :)
Love it.
My question is: if I attach a Mo Phatt module via MIDI to it, would the
commands be received and processed just as they are on the XL ?
Instrument parameters, bank/program change commands, etc... ?
Also how can I switch the effects routing on the Mo Phatt via MIDI ?
Only via Sysex commands from the XL-7 sequencer ?
